I've just been bashing University City for being so devoid of any character, but that being said, one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to anywhere -- and I've been to many, including London, which is known for its Indian food -- is located over there. If someone can help me with the specifics, this restaurant is located on the second floor of one of those awful strip malls. I believe this strip mall is on Harris Blvd. across the street from the hospital. There's a parking lot on the roof, and some Asian restaurant next to the Indian restaurant. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone know what restaurant I'm talking about?

Oh, and you MUST try the sweet lassi. It's very unique the way they make it (with some wonderful spice in it), the best sweet lassi I've ever had.

Someone else mentioned it before. They have a nice lunch buffet. I live in Univ. City. But to me, the best Indian place in Charlotte is this place down on 51...

I'm in So. Cal now and desperately missing Cuban food! They were all over the place in DC. There are a couple Cuban restaurants here, but they're much more expensive, and the food is not nearly as good.
