I have big bare spots underneath Bradford pear and Pin Oaks. I know Spring not a good time for good grass growth but in order to prevent dust clouds with summer mowing I bought some shade grass seeds.

There is moss beneath the pin oaks, is shoveling it after it rain best way to give grass soil to grab a hold of later this Spring?
