I've been to one dermatology office in Charlotte and the experience wasn't the best. I felt very rushed and like they didn't have time to answer any questions for me.

I want to get a full body skin check. I've never had one done before and its about time just to make sure there isn't anything weird growing on me! Know of any offices that WILL give me a thorough appointment and not rushed. I want to talk about everything from skin aging prevention to spider veins to sun care, etc... everything!

My sons have seen Dana Dorenfeld, she is wonderful. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences at this office. Parking can be limited though.

Patrick McKelgunn is very good, but I think he is now in Gastonia.

He was in Charlotte as of a few months ago, down in Blakeney. I guess he could have moved since then...the rest of that practice, Piedmont Plastic Surgery & Dermatology is also good as far as my experience. None of my family has ever had a complaint with the doctors there. Good luck!

Agreed, they are very good. I had been misdiagnosed before I saw McKelgunn ... he took one look at my feet and knew I had chillblains, which are kind of unusual in these parts (cold sensitivity). other drs thought it was allergy to cleaners or bleach, but he got it on the mark. Good dr.

I go to Catherine Pointon, she is located across 521 from Red Robin. I just go for annual full body checks, fortunately nothing else.

Dr. John R. Van Gurp Arboretum Dermatology Charlotte, NC
3111 Springbank Ln # J Charlotte, NC 28226 - 704-541-6001

My whole family have used Dr. Van Gurp. He's located at the Arboretum. My wife and I get the usual full body exam. He's always answered my questions and I don't feel rushed.

Good luck!

I usually go to Dr. Rosten uptown. Its close to me, but she's rather rude at times and doesn't have time to talk anything out. If you're looking for a prescription for cream or a cortizone shot for a blemish, I would go. BUt otherwise, find someone who actually cares about their patients.
