My impatiens are certainly happy about that. They spent several days in the garage...glad to have them back out in fresh air!

A few minutes ago we had high winds, rain, and something beating against our windows on three sides of our home. I noticed a little red line on the NOAA website. We are staying alert because I haven't figured out which direction this is headed and if it goes the same way as they usually do we are in line for two or three more cells.

NOAA's National Weather Service

I am hearing thunder again, but it looks like the worst is past us in Southwestern Union County.

That little read streak that is now on the Union-Anson line was really bad. I feel sorry for the people in Georgia and South Carolina because they have bigger red areas. This was really a strong storm.

I just figured out it is going East to Southeast. Most storms we have come up from Lancaster and go Northeast. I was afraid the long line of red was heading straight for us. Whew!

It has gotten quiet here in S CLT. Hope everyone is okay. I haven't checked radar to see if there are other bands of rain and wind heading our way . . . hopefully, we won't all be awakened by more storms . . .
