What are your favorite Charlotte area farmers markets?
Are they open yet or is still too early?

I love the one on Kings. I hope it opens soon.

I really like the state farmer's market over off of Yorkmont (near the airport).
NCDA&CS - Marketing Division - CHARLOTTE REGIONAL FARMERS MARKET

They're open year round, but it's obviously highly seasonal. Spring through fall are booming though. Some of the best vegetables you can get anywhere are found there as well as teh best deals on pumpkins when the time comes.

The Yorkmont one was open this past weekend...not a lot in the first, smaller barn. But the middle one was pretty full, about half local farmers. Greenery shed was packed with plants, herbs and stuff...

It's one of our favorite Saturday morning activities...can't wait until there's more local stuff for sale, as it's still somewhat limited now.

Looks like the Piedmont Markets out here in Cabarrus will be opening later in April, though some locations don't open till June.

I can't wait to start to go to some of these! I love fresh produce.

When do fresh peaches start to arrive? We got some last year and they were delicious!
