Depends on your vantage point. I think the city is making great strides at truly becoming urban, I can say that.

I have a fairly decent grasp on the word "rural".

Its rural. Sorry.

There is rural land around the metro, but Charlotte itself is definitely not rural.

Andy Griffith in Mayberry - that is small town in the midst of rural.

Oh good grief...here we go

You pass a lot of farms and cows in the middle of Charlotte, do ya?

Just FYI, to be considered "rural" and area usually has fewer than 1000 people per square mile.

I really dig Charlotte. I'm strongly considering moving there. And I'm going to do it without getting a job first oh no!

But it is rural. No need to be defensive. If I move there, it will be because it is so rural.

Dont know how to chop wood? Even if you dont know the finer points of it....my god Im pretty sure a chimp could do that.

I would say Trade Street uptown is pretty darn urban, but if you come from NYC or something obv its not gonna meet your standards for urbanicity

To me rural means country. WTH at calling Charlotte rural. A mile outside of it, maybe, but not charlotte

Some friends and I plan on riding our bikes to Mt Airy, NC, for lunch at Snappy Lunch on Saturday.
