But it is rural. No need to be defensive. If I move there, it will be because it is so rural.
Maybe it seems more rural in comparison to where you live now - and I do WISH we were really rural as I miss those days myself - but the city is far from rural any more. Again, how many cows and farms did you find yourself passing, in the city limits when you were here????

I would say Trade Street uptown is pretty darn urban, but if you come from NYC or something obv its not gonna meet your standards for urbanicity
IIRC there are 13,xxx taxis (medallion cabs) in NYC and someone is changing the oil in those cars. Is NYC urban?!

Knowing how to change the oil is certainly not a Southern hick thing.

NASCAR couldn't exist in an urban environment.

Its rural.

Saying the grass is purple doesn't make it so But go on repeating yourself - you only may YOU look bad. Those of us who live here know how densely populated the city is.

Great, now that we've all agreed that Charlotte is rural, what will we discuss next?

You are wrong. Of course some of the outlying areas are rural, but that's not what you're arguing. How the hell can you call this rural:

I know it ain't NYC, but rural? You're outta your mind.

Diggums appreciates your providing pictures of buildings with a few people and cars scattered about to bolster our agreed upon position that Charlotte is rural.

Great pics - love looking at our nice city

Miss the cows and farms myself that made us rural, but hey, that's progress I suppose!
