Lorenzo's is the best pizza by far. I've had Palone's once and thought it was just ok, but I generally like to try places a few times before I give a "legitimate" grade. When I walked into Palone's, it did have that great pizza parlor smell. The pie just wasn't great. Not bad though. The staff there seemed quite friendly too.

Anzi's is the worst pizza I have ever had my whole life. I would rather eat Ellios frozen pizza. Terrible.

Yeah, I agree about Anzi, I don't like Anzi's much. But I went to Hawthrone's and thought it was the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. Seriously try Palone's again, and try the pizza and something else though. Like the Pizza is my favorite around, but so is the chicken parm sandwich!!

Problem with Palone's is no consistenancy with the pizza... Lorenzo's is better. Anzi's has to be the worst. Marios by the Siskey YMCA tops them all!

Yes, I am new to the area, just moved here from Queens, NY and have been on the search for good NY pizza. I have tried them all and found Palones to be the best by far. The owner is from NY a real nice guy and their food is great. I would highly recomend this place.

I'm from queens also, by ridgewood. If you're looking for amazing pizza, i'd have to say Palone's and NY Pizza take the cake. NY pizza is over on South Blvd, a number of people told me about this place, and I was blown away, tastes ALMOST as good as the pizza I used to have at rosa's on fresh pond! Palone's was my favorite place for quite sometime though. If you want some more information on NY pizza the information is

New York Pizza 6037 South Blvd
Charlotte, NC 28217
(704) 554-6601

Sorry about the long post but it's hard to find they're information, I honestly think this is the best pizza place I have found in Charlotte.... Palone's is a close second though... The portions at NY pizza are very generous though... They're garlic knots are huge and they're slices are bigger than palone's.

Unfortunately my family and I have been going to Palone's for pizza too regularly

My nanny from NJ told me about Palone's and we love it!

I think people here are being too hard on Anzi's -- they are still much better than any of the chains. Having said that, we think that Palone's is the best pizza in So. Charlotte, particularly if you like garlic.
