Not sure why the last tea party thread was closed other than it turned slightly political. Anyway, this article says there were only 1500-2000 people showed up at the rally in Charlotte. Based on the feedback from people who were there they are saying a lot more, like 5000.
So how many people were there?

I do not know the true head count for yesterday. We were there and the organizer made the comment that they had made 2000 copies of a handout and when he asked people to raise their as to those who had NOT received one, there were more hands up than not.
I would say over 2500....if I was guesstimating.
It was a beautiful sight that is for sure! The citizens of this country are tired of being bullied, pushed around and lied to and are going to be heard.
I don't know how many there were total as we arrived late and saw people going and coming. Groups were leaving as we arrived and others arrived after we did. I was just happy to see that others are as fed up as we are.
