How's everyone's gardening going so far?

My Butterfly Bush is loaded with flowers and looks great. Just planted about 10-12 baby Dogwood tree's, my brother in law had a ton of starters so they were the best price, free! My lillies I planted in April are really blooming nicely, I have 5 different varieties now. I planted some dwarf firepower Nandina, hopefully they'll turn red for winter color as the tag stated.

I started planting on an island by our driveway and need to add some things. I am thinking of putting one of those cool birdhouss in the center, one with a copper roof, I love those!

My tomatoes are doing just fine. The heirloom are doing the best. I have one little frying pepper, so far, but lots of flowers on the plants.

I found phlox at Home Depot after nearly giving up on finding them.

!

I have 6 cherry tomato plants (2 per tub). 2 out of 6 are small and yellowy-green (not the rich dark green). Those are struggling, however the other 4 are doing nicely. Lot of tomatoes, and actually picked the 1st red one yesterday...

Herbs are ok....

My Beefsteaks are doing unbelieveaby well. Big plants with lots of tomatoes. The German Queens are growing well, but only 1 tomato on 3 plants. The Beefmasters are lagging behind.

I found them at the HD in Gastonia. One of the guys who works there said that this was their 2nd shipment. He said that the 1st shipment sold out in 3 days.

OK, here's my report on the beefsteak tomato plants. They are so big that they keep taking down the cages, so now I'm staking up the cages.

I got a cross-cut papershredder & I'm making mulch for the garden.
