That's funny...I've lived in NC most of my life and I always say "you guys". I've never known anyone to be offended. Maybe they were just too polite to say anything about it. Honestly, I don't think southerners are that easily offended.

I always thought southern slang was cute. I especially like to use y'all, but Ive often wondered if southerns would take offense to "outsiders" using y'all? Do you think people appreciate others blending in or feel they are being "fake"? I actually dont use much slang anyway.
Oh, and Im curious, what is cockney rhyming?!?!
