My family and I just returned home from a week-long visit to Charlotte. We have been hoping to relocate to the area, so we were there scoping things out. We just found out yesterday that my husband has been offered a job!!!! He will be living there for about two months, before the rest of us can make the move. Can anyone suggest a safe area for him to live in the meantime? His job will be in Charlotte, right near the Panthers Stadium (sorry, I know nothing about sports, so I don't know what the name of it is.) We are hoping to either rent/buy in a few months. For now, I don't know if extended stay hotels are the way to go, or if there is a complex that offers short-term lease agreements. He needs a place asap, as he starts work immediately. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No need to go all the way to Ballantyne and make the commute more difficult...There is a nice extended stay right by I77 on Arrowwood:

I just booked a hotel in pineville for something like $85 a night for my upcomming charlotte vacation. Its a studio with kitchen-ette. That may be plausible. I believe it was simply called extendedstay.

Depending on what you can spend, a corporate apartment may work. They are more expensive but come furnished.

this one is good, but not too close to downtown at 8 am. 15 mins tops.

Thanks to all of you who sent messages to me and who responded to my above question. We are currently working with a realtor and have made our decision on where to live (temporarily.)

Thanks for calling it Panthers Stadium. The parade of corporate names always confuses me.
