I am thinking of cutting my expenses and selling my home in Ballantyne CC to move closer to work. I work in the University area. Does anyone know if Hidden Valley is a good place to live? What are some pros and cons?

^Stay far, far, away. Definitely not the best neighborhood. One good thing is that it is an improving area and the location is great. Not that far from Uptown, and not that far from UC. I would recommend looking at some other areas. Maybe Davis Lake.

I would not recommend it.

The neighborhood is safer than it was just 2 years ago but it still has a long way to go.
It appears there is a lot of gang activity.

A large part of the community is very active in taking their community back and that is wonderful!

Is this a dig at anyone in particular, or more for all of our benefit? Must be a slow day at work, huh??

It's worse than a joke - it's an attempt to make Charlotte look bad, again. For whatever reason this poster just wants to constantly talk about the bad places in Charlotte. I guess it's lucky for his sake he doesn't actually live here

OK we get it, UC is a bad place, you don't like the area and last I heard noone has any plans of forcing you to move there. Get a hobby!

I wouldn't say UC is a bad place. I think it is actually one of the nicer places in Charlotte and is going through alot of changes. But Hidden Valley is not the nest area, but its inhabitants are doing a great job taking over the area.
