Hooligan, I'm not trying to criticize you but remember, just because you're "right" it doesn't make myself and others wrong.

Let's say a person works for a complete jerk who treats employees like garbage for years, and frequently terminates employees without any notice just because he can, things are different. If it's the "right" thing in this case to walk into that person's office, give a notice, and thank them for the "wonderful opportunity" it's a mystery to me as to why.

Sorry for the confusion, but my usage of "right" = socially accepted/expected. Not that I am assigning my own values to something.

At any rate, sounds like we'll agree to disagree on this point. No harm, no foul.
