Question Moving from Columbus to Charlotte! Need advice.

I'm moving from Columbus, OH to Charlotte. I'm basing everything on Myers Park High School, I want my children to attend. As I research more about the area, it's very pricey. I need a 3 bedroom for around $900-$1000, is this possible?

Any suggestions about other decent parts of Charlotte to raise my 3 daughters in? I want a good, diverse school district. No more than $1000 for a 3/4 bedroom house if possible.

Any advice will help me?

I honestly don't think that's possible, however, you might try carolinahomes.com and click on rentals. It is rental you're looking for, right?

There's a 3 bedroom house listed in Elizabeth, at $1095, more than you wanted to pay. Address is 605 Oakland Ave., MLS is 640790. Also 3444 Selwyn AVE A (listed as a duplex but looks like a house to me --not sure if the rental is for the house or part of the house) MLS is 660172 at $925.

Why restrict yourself to Myers Park High School?? Providence High is actually the highest academically performing school.

I have read about Providence High School also. What part of Charlotte is that one located in? Can you name three great parts of Charlotte to look into.. I dont want to buy just yet, need to make sure I'm going to stay in Charlotte more than 2 years. A rental for $1000 or less.

Thanks!

You will have a much better chance of finding something in your price range in the Providence HS area. Anything I found in my rental days in Myers Park in the $1000/mo range was 2-3 bedrooms, but 800-1000 sq. feet. That's way too small for four people....I am only one person and it was too small for me!

Providence HS is in S. Charlotte, off of Pineville-Matthews Road. The agents on here can help me out...is it area 4? Anyway, there are apartments down there, but maybe you can find a townhome in the area for that price.
