Default looking for a good salon that has a loctician/dreadlock services.

hello, everyone. I'm new to the forum.

anyway, I am growing my hair out to make dreadlocks.
I cannot get them now, but I was just thinking of the future.
are there any good salons in charlotte/cabarrus county that have a loctician or that offer dreadlock services?
I am wondering about pricing and labor time.

please, do not yell at me about your opinions on dreadlocks.
it's okay if you don't like them, just don't tell me that they're dirty or smelly or retched. because, they aren't. (actually, dreadlocks can only form and grow properly if they are washed often.)
normal hair would be like that too if it wasn't cared for properly.

thank you!

Just being nosy..are you white or black? If you are white, do you at least have curly hair? Straight hair is pretty hard to dread, looks stringy most of the time.

A few of my friends went the dreadlock route in college so I kno a little about them. lol.

thanks for responding!
I'm white, and unfortunately my hair is very thin and straight.
but, I'm willing to keep up with the higher maintenance issues.
I really, really, really want dreads.
I wish dreads didn't cost so much to get at a salon.
I don't wanna risk messing them up if I used a dread kit though.
and, brian, who exactly is phish?

I'm Black and I have locks, and I second the Lockstar Salon recommendation; I've been going to them for a few years and I've been pleased with their services.
