Why is using a mobile poor manners? Remember: before mobile phones, people eavesdropped easily on others in conversation in pubs, churches, buses, school halls...
Businesses (and non profits) have the option to request mobiles be turned off. People have the option to respect this or not.
Humans have always had opportunities to listen to others' conversations. We're simply in a modern age using technology.
Nothing to fear, folks.

What I hate the most
I can deal with the cell phone conversations in grocery stores and malls. What I absolutely CANNOT tolerate is cell phone use in the bathroom !! How on God's green earth can you hold a cell phone conversation in a bathroom stall? To me, that defines rude, gross and inconsiderate
Back to dinner now

Sorry, what is rude about a conversation (mobile phone or no) in a bathroom? How is it 'inconsiderate'? Truly not understanding.
Are all sounds from a bathroom 'inconsiderate' to others?

I'm thinking I've been ignorant of bathroom protocol all these years! If a conversation is 'inconsiderate' and 'rude' then girls going to the potty together for a good natter must be the height of transgressions!
To think that back in the day, people thought nothing of having a smoke in the ladies room. It wasn't considered 'bad manners' at all.

I was referring to cell phone use in the bathroom. A simple "I'll call you back later" would be kind of nice, but I'm just speaking for myself.
