We've been living in Charlotte for 2 years now and are looking for a larger house to rent. Our experiences renting from Four Seasons Property Management have been pretty awful so we want a company that actually does their job this time around. I'd love to hear the good & the bad for any rental companies you've had experience with.
We're leery about Meca now because on google maps if you look them up, you will find two terrible reviews. I know the internet isn't a very reliable source when it comes to this sort of thing, but it's still a bit intimidating to switch to another BAD company...
I'd get into the details about 4 Seasons but we're still renting here so I'll wait until after we've moved to update all the awful stuff we've had to endure here. So... Meca? Others you liked or hated? Thanks!!!
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say the company name, but I had a bad experience as well. I was renting a house in Midwood that had a shed-like structure in the backyard. After we signed the paperwork, we were told that it was an "apartment" that was already occupied. It couldn't have been more than 500 sq. ft, if that. Come to find out that the propoerty owner managed to squeeze a washer and dryer in there, and we had to trek to the laundrymat. Upon further inspection, all the utilities coming into our house, ran right back out to the "apartment". We concluded that we were paying the utilities for the "apartment" and confronted the property management company. Without so much as an argument or question, they agreed to terminate our lease without penalty, so they had to know what was going on. That was the last time I rented through a company. Subsequent rentals were directly through the home owners and were much more successful.
