Best sites to find Charlotte current events?
I'm heading to Charlotte this week to look around. I've searched here and can't seem to find consistent, current stuff and google has confused me. Ha. I'm looking for a website where I can find some of the best little local activities for the weekends/weeks I travel to Charlotte in case I decide to venture outward from my hotel.
My mom is in the hospital now and since I might have to leave as early as Friday. So, I don't really need recommendations for this week. I'll be back at least 2-3 weeks this summer and would like to have something bookmarked to help schedule funs. Thanks in advance.

I find begging CarolinaBlue for info to be the most effective way to get a comprehensive list of events during a giving week.
A sample of the mastery that I speak of: http://www.city-data.com/forum/charl...11th-thru.html

HA HA HA - Mystery - that is exactly what I was thinking! My immediate thought was - well, other than Carolina Blue who posts some awesome lists . . . I don't know . . . I try to post things I find out about now and then but I rely on CB's master lists and direct others to read his posts, as well!

Here's a list from Last June, some of these might be annual events:

Remember it's a 2008 thread...but things like Taste of Charlotte are coming up again in the first week of June

Thank you guys! Those are perfect!
I've just spent my "goodbye" weekend in Wilmington. There were so many moments (likely affected by alcohol) where I just couldn't imagine moving to a new place.
I was driving back to my hotel from a friend's place on Thurs when I realized I had driven right past my old road (where I lived for a few years) and didn't even recognize it... much less have the urge to turn. I guess that means I'm ready to go???
Looking forward to Charlotte...
Ok, this turned into a novel.. yay sleep deprivation. Hope you are well and thanks again!!
