Default Moving to Charlotte from Cleveland

My fiancee and I are moving from Cleveland to Charlotte this summer and we were wondering some good areas to look at. We are 25, love to go out, and are young professionals. We want to live either in or near downtown, but want some ideas of different, fun neighborhoods with good bars, restaurants, and shopping. We also have a dog, so somewhere with a park or areas to walk is also a plus. We were thinking about either South End or Uptown? Are these places cool? Are there any others that anyone would recommend?

Thanks!

Uptown, South End, and Dilworth areas sound like what you're looking for. If you'd like more info send me a pm.
