My husband and I are moving to Charlotte in a few weeks with our 2 little ones (newborn and 20 months). We have a few questions and are hoping for some recommendations (seems like this board has lots of great info/members).

1. We don't know anyone and we've heard the YMCA programs are great ways to meet people/young families. Any other suggestions?
2. Any recommendations on good pediatricians, OBGYNs, dentists, and general doctors for my husband and I? We would like to find doctors close to home - we're moving to Dilworth.
3. Are there many stay at home moms? Any good resources/programs for SAHMs and their kids?
4. What are the average babysitting rates in Charlotte?

Thanks!!

Good luck on moving with such little ones in tow!!

There are plenty of stay-at-home moms around Charlotte. I feel certain you will meet quite a few in Dilworth once you get there! There is a great group I keep hearing of called CharlotteMommies.com, perhaps you should check out their website. Living in Dilworth will put you very close to the hospital areas and many physicians. My faves are out in the burbs, but there are great ones all over the uptown area. Maybe someone else here will chime in with a few names. Welcome to Charlotte!

Default Need a babysitter? 27yr. female in Dilworth

If you ever need a babysitter, let me know! I live in Dilworth over at Kenilworth and East. I have a full time job for a new home builder as our Marketing Director, but I also do babysitting weeknights and weekends.

Hope you're settling in nicely!
