Harris Teeter in the Arboretum also has a gelato stand next to the deli, it is not bad either. The do cups, cones, and will package up larger amounts for you to take home. It is the only Teeter in the area that I have seen this is.

I think Ritas has Gelato also. They opened one on 521 and Ardrey Kell.

Any new gelato places in Charlotte? Is there a dedicated gelateria or just cafes/grocery stores that sell it in addition to other items?

Just an FYI that the Arboretum Harris Teeter no longer has the gelato stand. Went there tonight hoping to get some and was told that they closed it about 4 or 5 months ago.

Sadly, Cafe Mia which has several mentions in this old thread has been closed for while. I checked the old link to their website and it still shows the Birkdale location, which is closed.

oh bummer. I was all excited hoping to get some next trip to CLT. The new Giant Eagle store in Pittsburgh had a gelato counter. I ate there 3x over 2 days! Usually get it on vacation in Canada and Europe but can't understand why it hasn't caught on in the states. The flavors are so much more intense. yuuuummmmmmm

I think Revolution Pizza in NoDa still has it, though.
