I currently live in Atlanta and never been to Charlotte. Just wondering if anybody here has lived in both cities and how they compare as far as the people, the culture, the vibe, and the job market. I may be passing through Charlotte for a day on my way to Chapel Hill in about a week. I've been in Atlanta for 3 years now and still not sure if I want to stay here long term.

Geez I didn't realize it was a new week already, but you're right it is Sunday, I guess we should have this topic come up again.

As a Senior with over 400 post the search engine on the forum can't be something that's new to you, but let me help you out:

Charlotte vs. Atlanta
Lenox/Phipps vs SouthPark
Atlanta vs Charlotte...help!
Charlotte v. Atlanta
Charlotte or Atlanta your opinion please
World Class City....Yay or Nay

Over a hundred responses and about 10,000 times these threads have been viewed.

If there's a specific question that you'd like to know, I'm sure someone will have the answer, but comparing two cities with general topics like culture, people and vibe is just really open to everything and anything covered in the above threads, it's like telling someone to sum up New York City in twenty words or less.

CLT and ATL are similar in about the same ways DC and CLT are similiar . . . or Denver and CLT . . . or Des Moines and CLT . . . etc etc.

Both Southern cities . . . so similar weather. As MysteryMT said . . . we would have to know what you are looking for, specifically, to be able to advise whether it is here or not. If you like burbs, you will find a good spot in Charlotte. Great place to raise a family.
