Hi all!

My husband and I are relocating to Charlotte this summer due to his job- he will be working in uptown, and I have just been accepted to nursing school in Concord (at Cabarrus College). We have determined that Northeast Charlotte (possibly Mallard Creek area- I've been told to stay west of 85) makes the most sense for our commute, however we are looking to rent for the first year or so, until we explore Charlotte enough to know where we want to buy...

Any ideas of nice, safe, relatively new apartment or townhouse complexes? We are looking for 2 bedrooms for under $1000/month (for rent only). We would love a townhouse, but not sure if there are many for rent.

We have looked at Colonial Grand at Legacy Park (which seemed very nice), Dominion Norcroft and Bridges at Mallard Creek, but would like input, from anyone who might have some suggestions or comments...

Thanks so much!!!

Colonial Grand Legacy Park you can actually get 3 bedroom for under 1000 a month. (They call it 2 bedroom and study) but the study is really a 3rd bedroom b/c its got its own walk-in closet and such and is big enough for a queen bed/dresser etc. That one comes WITH washer and dryer in the unit too. I checked it out but we were only looking to spend 800 for a 2 bedroom so we decided on Dominion Norcroft. There are over 50 apartments in that area. You can seriously just drive around the loops and see probably 20 of them off the road and stop in and visit them. Most are so nice that deciding and narrowing it down is the hardest part. We will be moving into Norcroft May 28
