Well, let's put it this way. I don't want to drive up to my house and even see one (those towers) on the horizon.

The only reason I stay away from them is to protect resale value. Too many people won't consider a home near these things, so I'd rather not have to try to sell one.

I guess that none of y'all own microwaves? Or vacuum cleaners? Or televisions? Or cellphones?
Each and every one of those devices has also been touted as "increasing your risk of cancer," yet I don't see people saying they want to buy a house without a microwave.

....and they cause distortion and buzzing in audio loudspeakers (and audio gear).
Possible negative effect on health, number one reason.
Interference in audio gear, number two reason
BTW, I never have and never will own a microwave oven. I don't know, something about those things that just doesn't jive with me. Call it paranoia....call it a hunch, whatever.
No microwave ovens in my house.

I'm with Ani and Asheville Native on this one! And Ani and I don't agree often! LOL
There's a house that I drive by to go anywhere pretty much. It has a mini sub-station in the backyard. it took almost 2 years to sell it. The new folks stuck around for a few years. They, too, tried for 2 years to sell it. They gave up and tried renting it out. That took another year. I wonder how long these tenants will stay.
So there must not be too people who are super comfy with all that electricity next to them. I know I'm not!
Smoking once wasn't bad for you either. Airbags are supposed to save your life, yet many people are injured and some killed by them. So don't be thinking the government is really look out for you. it's all about $$$$$$$$$$$.

Yeah, but those items won't inhibit a resale on a house

We recently saw a very beautiful house, unbelievable new kitchen with top of the line appliances at a ridculous price. Each room was more exquisite than the last. We kept asking ourselves "what is wrong with this house to have such a good price"? Then we looked out back...a HUGE tower right in the back yard. No thanks. Even if there is no truth to the cancer risk, resale would be hell based on perception.

If you like the home why would it matter. The days of trying to make money on a resale are over
