Mooresville Jobs?
My son just graduated High School, and is currently working here in Va, getting ready to start NTI, in Mooresville NC, this fall. He, his dad, and I are wanting to come down to look around, but before we come down to check things out, can anyone give us any ideas for jobs in the area? Heard traffic is bad going to Charlotte mornings and evenings, so maybe a little north of Mooresville? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Are you saying - you and your hubby are thinking about relocating here and need to find jobs? Or are you saying - work for your son?
How familiar are you with Charlotte?

I`m sorry. Let me explain. I am a stay at home mom, and his dad has a job here. We are just coming down to help Matt get set up before he comes down. (I`ve always wanted to live in NC, `tho, but that`s another story.) haha Not looking for anything in particular, just putting feelers out for now. He is currently working all kinds of hours here, (not much time off) and I want to help him in any way I can. At open house at NTI, they told everyone not to be too picky about the kind of work. Thanks for responding to my questions. Thanks for all your help. He is supposed to be staying in Statesville, and driving to Mooresville to NTI. What do y`all suggest?

Well, I am thinking it would probably have to be flexible hours, right? The job market is awful here right now - unemployment over 10% and hard to find part time jobs. I believe I would check at grocery stores first - to see if they have any part time work. Then I would just take it from there - stop in and get applications at any retail store that would be within a decent drive f/ where your son will be living.
I believe I would come down early, b/f his classes start, and do an intensive job search. It may be that some retail businesses would have hired college students for the summer, so would have openings when those kids go back to college. That's about all I can suggest. Maybe someone else will have better ideas.
Good luck and I hope things fall in place for your son's stay here!
