It's really not that bad. I will take the heat here anytime over the heat we used to have in FL. As DH would say, the news weather people in FL only need to use one term, "today it will be f**"ng HOT with 15 of monsoon rains in the afternoon." we would always be indoors.
Here in Charlotte, not so much. We actually rather enjoy being outside, doing stuff and as soon as the sun starts going down, it is all just lovely..
You transplants are crazy - the last few days have been HOT (humidity + temp - I can handle hot dry heat).
We are heading to upstate NY & Canada tomorrow for a week to cool off.
Three weeks later, 10 days in Maine to escape the NC August heat.
I just hate the fact that the heat is making my flowers look terrible!
Yea, grass is burning out. Not much you can do about it I guess. I just keep reminding myself how great fall and winter is And it really is. Its just 3 more months...its just 3 months.....
This is my first summer in Charlotte. I am originally from Phoenix, AZ. It started getting up into the 100's in April there. If the heat is just starting up here in the end of June, I am way happy. So far I think Charlotte has the best weather of anywhere I have been. I love it!!
