Folks here is the deal. I have worked in professional motorsports since 1997. I have worked for three professional Indycar teams (Players/Forsythe, Team Kool Green, and Pacific Coast Motorsports). I drive the Transporter trucks and manage the tires for the cars as well pit crew duties. I was Paul Tracy's vent/jack guy in 1998. I also worked in AMA Superbike for Factory Yamaha and Erion Honda. I have been a part of winning championships in both series. So having said all of that, I figured instead of using my contacts that I know in Nascar I decided to give rcr a chance. I emailed the owner Bob and sent him a resume. He pursued me very hard by phone and email until I sent my money in. He then never contacted me again. I got some bogus email after I questioned him saying he had sent my resume to teams. BS. This guy is a crook and I filed a complaint with the BBB in NC. Don't be sucked in to this scam. He will take your money and promise you the world. At the very least he should be prosecuted as a criminal.

Forgive my ignorance, but, why would you pay money to have an interview? I obviously do not know anything about RCR or how it works. Is that a standard practice?

Is this some kind of headhunter for people in the racing industry? Any time you have to pay to get a job I can almost guarantee it is either a scam or a pyramid scheme. Other than going to college of course. That's legitimate.

Well folks this guy has convinced some of the Nascar Teams that he is a legitimate source for recruitiing. Some like Petty Enterprsises actually list RCR on their website for employment. Afterwards I sent my resumes directly to the teams and got responses. Also, college in no way qualifies you to work in the racing business, unless of course you major in mechanical engineering.

CPCC has a motorsports program, which I hope might qualify students for a job in the biz.

Motorsports — Central Piedmont Community College

But I do understand the "college" comment above was semi humorous, in that they do require a lot of money in advance in exchange for promises of future success/wealth, much like scams.

Your bad experience with rcr sux. As the economy gets worse and worse and jobs get ever harder to come by, you can be sure that scammers will come out of the woodwork to take advantage of people that get more and more desperate to find a job and are tempted to try things that they never would have considered during better times.

Yes, RCR is Richard Childress Racing, but they are talking about Race City Resumes which when shortened, RCR. Two seperate things not related.
