Honestly, they are all good! I have had experiences at Presby (Matthews and uptown), Carolinas Medical Center and Mercy (in both its locations) and I cannot complain. FYI, CMC-Main is our trauma center - go straight there for life-threatening things. Also, CMC has the Hemby Childrens Hospital and Childrens ER - which is awesome because your sick child doesn't have to wait in the regular ER and view some of what comes in there (that can be really scary). The children's ER is great at dealing with kids on their level in a calming environment. Hope you don't ever need to find that out firsthand

Oops, let me correct a mistake I made above!

Carolinas Medical Center has the Levine Childrens Hospital - a childrens hospital within a hospital. It is Presbyterian that has the Hemby Center. I've heard great things about both

I actually have had the oppurtunity to interview in few area hospitals.
Lake norman in morrisviile is very clean, smaller ,more family like.
North east medical center in concord-also very clean, very reputable
Carolinas medical center- wow- what a place, i continually kept getting lost,
but seems like the place to go for anything serious, alot of trauma ,
i was glad to get out of there that day.
From my observation, and beeing behind the scenes, i was very impressed with all of them. Good luck

Our son just had surgery at Presbyterian and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, doctors, cleanliness. We are thinking of moving to Charlotte-we are retirees-and that being the case, hospitals are one of the things we look into (unfortunately).

Alberto from Steele Creek you would be equally close to Mercy Hospital Pineville (also now known as CMC Mercy since Carolinas Medical Center bought out Mercy) or the main hospitals uptown, Carolinas Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital.

I had to take my 17 year old daughter there a few weeks ago. They were very good and she said the doctors were hot if that means anything to anyone.
