Does anyone know of a place that is holding a Mass shredding for personal documents in the next few weeks/months? I am cleaning out my parents home, and have tax returns from 1980!!!! Plus found mine back almost that far that were to be run through their shredder....my dad 'must have forgotten"

I know Carolina Place mall held one last year....September rings a bell but may be off on the date..

I have a small home shredder, but I'd (a) be shredding til this time next year or (b) burn it out!!!

Do you work in an office? They may have a deal with a disposal company. I bring all my stuff to work and dump it into our shred bins.

Shred-It is the company who does the community events. They do not have one scheduled for this year but may do one in Oct/Nov. Check their website.
The cost if you bring stuff to them is $50 for a large waste bin (size of the Charlotte garbage bins). Can go in with neighbors or church or whoever to split the cost.
Worth it if you have important documents and don't want to buy a couple new shredders.

I think it might be worth the $ 50.00 for me...I'll check into the website.

The BBB sponsors shredding events every now & then. Try checking their website for the next event.
