New Trash Trucks in Union County
OK, it's like the movie The Jerk when Steve Martin was somebody because he found his name in the phone book. I am so excited....
We have "new" automated trash trucks! And they actually surpass the ones we had in CA as they can empty 2 cans at a time instead of 1. Although the truck was unmarked, I wonder if they are running a test, very interesting.
+1 for Union County
Hey, when your unemployed, it counts as excitement...

Nothing? Are you kidding? Page 73 - Johnson, Navin R.! I'm somebody now! Millions of people look at this book everyday! This is the kind of spontaneous publicity - your name in print - that makes people. I'm in print! Things are going to start happening to me now.
That is interesting, I guess now they can get both sides of street at once.

Actually, they could do 4 at a time, 2 on each side!

Now you're gonna force me to visit a neighborhood that has county garbage collection just to see them work.
wife: "Honey where are you going?"
me: "Oh, just out for a little ride."
wife: "Can I go too?"
me: "You probably wouldn't be interested."
wife: "I might be, I'm bored and wouldn't mind a little ride."
me: "I'm going over to Stallings to check out the new garbage truck."
wife: "You always take me to the nicest places........ no thanks!"

LOL, until we moved here, I don't remember when the last time it was that I actually saw the guys jump off the truck and toss the garbage. We were in our house for 15 years in CA and now here 2 1/2. So that's almost 18 years, at least behind our former city.

LOL,,, that's why our unemployment rate stays lower than Cali. We keep'em hopin' on and off trucks to earn a paycheck. My Dad always said, "somebody has to dig ditches, just don't let it be you".

Amazing the county has money for new garbage trucks and road expansion projects but we can't keep teachers employed which are teaching the future of this country. It amazes me more and more everyday how this counties priorities are so screwed up. Just my 2 cents.

Union County doesn't pick up garbage. It is most likely a private company. Either Action Garbage or Trinity Garbage. Both are the largest companies in the county.
