Atlanta Natives Living in Charlotte - Need Nightlife Help
Hello, i'm a native of Atlanta living in Charlotte now. I am trying to find a part of Charlotte that is similar to the Little Five Points, East Atlanta, Virginia Highlands area in Atlanta - somewhat bohemian hangouts, cheap drinks, area rich mix of art and theater. Do places like this exist in Charlotte? I'm interested in exploring new pubs/restaurants, dives always welcome!!
Thanks!

NoDa (North Davidson) is probably your best bet for what you described. There are some art galleries and a theater. I was going to tell you to go to Salvador Deli but apparently they shut down in May.
Here is NoDa's website: NoDa Home - Charlotte's Historic Arts District

What? I think most people who choose to go out at night are still alive. The vast majority, in fact.

Yes, I am familiar with the CL as we have it here in Atlanta. It's helpful but I was hoping to get some feedback from the Locals. . .especially those familiar with the ATL area.
NoDa does look like a mix of Little5 and East Atlanta.
Many people have suggested the Penguin. I'll have to check it, and the area, out!!
