You have to have a car short to the ground with a long hood so they have to lean way over to wash the windshield.

I had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at the Bell Car Wash on South Blvd. I paid about $30 since I had just moved across the country and wanted them to pay some attention to the car. When I asked if they would vacuum the trunk the "manager" taking the order said it was an extra $1 and when I told him I thought that was ridiculous he offered to "personally do it for free." When I got my car back, the trunk still hadn't been vacuumed, the inside was poorly done and the back seat area wasn't touched at all. There was a smear on the window and the inside handle of the front seat was broken. My daughter said she saw the guys laughing and pointing at it before they gave it to us. I used to take my car in 2x a month for a good overall cleaning in California. I am now fearful of doing it anywhere in Charlotte, and will NEVER, NEVER go back to a Bell Car Wash. Be forewarned. Could have gotten better at a $4 discount place in California anytime.

Not that it is an excuse to do a bad job but isn't that in a crappy part of town?

When I have my DW's car in that part of town, I like to stop in there for a quick wash. I don't use the vacuums. It does a decent job.
I'll run our other two vehicles through Auto Bell in Mooresville every month or as needed.
I just like to go at an off peak time when the dryer guys can give my vehicles adequate time to do a good job. I stopped there on Thurs afternoon last week and wound up drying my own vehicle as they only had two or three people working and a steady stream of customers.

I always go after to work to the one on Monroe Road. Never had a wait and they always do a good job.

I recently washed my car for the first time in 3 years and I took it to a place called Tidal Wave right near the Carolina Place Mall. I paid 3 dollars for it and was very surprised at how well it did on my car. I think my car should be good for another 3 years now
