I'm out of the area right now, so I'm not seeing the local coverage other than the observer. Is anyone else tired of this dude's crush. The Observer has anothre article about him on the home page. Is he outright trying to hurt his wife of 20 years?

BTW, I'm posting on the Charlotte board to see what my Charlotte CD'ers think. We are just a five minute drive from the border. Is the coverage overwhleming on the local stations?

As long as he does a good job as governor I really don't care about his personal life.

Not really. Michael Jackson took over the airwaves, LOL. I was sick of it when the whole thing broke . . . he had an affair. Okay. We got that. Now back to work. I think the SC media is stirring the pot, trying to make it as salacious as possible (sell more papers). It is sleazy, no doubt about it. But story over. If the legislature wants to call for his resignation, then they should do it. If not, let's move on . . . we all get it that his wife is the aggrieved party . . . but honestly - most of us get no joy out of seeing someone else's marital problems splattered all over newspapers and TV.

I think the country had enuff of this type of reporting back in the Monica Lewinsky days. I mean - I really didn't need to know about that blue dress . . . or John Edwards' possible Love Child . . . and I sure as heck could care less what Miss Argentina looks like (or what she has to say).

I'm with you on that Ani.
I thought there would be a reprieve with MJ's death. But this guy just will NOT shut UP.

@barking: I disagree but I could see your point if the dude hadn't left the country for a week. He brought it on himself. Not that I'm not biased. I couldn't wait to go to Charlotte after living in SC. ;-)

If a person cheats on their spouse, who is to say they won't cheat on income tax, doing something illegal as governor, etc? This is one of life's major committments and he couldn't keep it. Can he keep his committment to good gov't any better?
