The Charlotte Hash House Harriers are a local chapter of a loosely organized international running club. Ok, more like a drinking club, with a running problem. A few times a month we get together for a 2-5 mile adventure run in and around Charlotte. Tonight we will be hashing by moonlight so if you think you would enjoy a good run, calling people funny names, a few beers, some off color humor and have an open mind, then please join us tonight at 7PM in the Harris Teeter parking lot at 1015 Providence Rd. You should bring a flashlight, a dry bag, old running shoes, and 5 bucks, unless youre a virgin (first timer), because virgins are free. It looks like it will be a great night to get out and hash! We hope to see you there!

Frank, don't be intimidated. People of all kinds and running skills show up to hash. It's a great time! Last hash I was part of had people from early 20s to mid 70s. Plenty of running, drinking, and overall silliness.

Here's the local hash website:

Thanks for the assist there Cheesehead, when are you going to get your old runnin shoes on and join us?
Frank, fear not. Theres no hazing rituals, no streaking (mostly), no stealing street signs or improper touching of any farm animals. Just have an open mind and be ready to meet alot of fun people and have a great time!
ive been informed that we will be meeting BEHIND the harris teeter...we'll be lookin for you about 7! This will also be a naming hash, so youll get to see how hashers are given their hash names.

On On!

There's really no pressure to run or to drink. Especially during these hot months, its not uncommon to have as many water bottles as beer cans in the cooler. Also, there are always a group of runners and a group of walkers. If youre a walker, then the runners help you by solving the trails ahead of you. But if you want to get out and do some running, then by all means get out there and run. We are not competing. As a matter of fact, there's a punishment for being first in (darn, you have to drink beer).
Last night we had 25 hashers running through Myers park area on a tuesday night! If you missed it and want to catch the next one. Join us on July 18th. More details at Charlotte Hash House Harriers

LOL Mullman, trust me..these are some of the best people youll ever meet. Not to mention, you can go anywhere in the world and find a hash. Every major city in the world, and most cities in the US have a hash kennel. San Diego has 10, Atlanta has 11, Washington DC has 12! We have hash cruises, inter-continential events, international events, local traveling events, etc.
We also do local charity and community service projects. We had 36 hashers ALL in Pink Dresses for the Susan G Koemen Race for a cure last year along with raising 3300 bucks! My old hash kennel in Tampa raises over 17K annually for Relay For Life. We will have 2 or 3 teams in the Marine Corp Mud Run on Aug 1st, then we have another hash the next day while we clean our adopted part of a local stream. Seriously, its all ages, all walks of life, all economic classes....all for the sake of the trail and the beer.
So when you going to make it out? lol
