That article could have been published almost a decade ago. They're not exactly Johnny On The Spot.
You could be right if the photos and article are hand-in-hand. I didn't see the Duke Energy building or the newer buildings around the Epicenter. But I do believe that their predictions are probably accurate.
Considering I've found myself in stop and go traffic at 6:30 am on 1-77 south (between exit 31 and 23) numerous times over the past month I'd say the pop has already boomed. Can we PLEASE widen the road already?!?

Sure! Just send your check for several billion to Raleigh and I am certain they will be right on it.
Or you could lobby for our taxes to triple across the board. Maybe that will raise the money to make it happen. Add a user tax per driver . . . then you can move faster in traffic while paying for every mile you zoomed through.
Then we can all pay the same rate of taxes as all those states people have fled from b/c the taxes are sky high.
Or, we could do what they do in states like Ca, make an HOV toll lane. I'd gladly pay.
