Job market sucks nationwide. Im not too worried. I check craigslist and there are many job opportunitys for me. Maybe not a graphic designer, but for a store manager, welder, auto mechanic ect.

IF you are looking now and aren't coming til March, those jobs you are seeing are not going to say much about what will be available between now and then.

However, if you start looking in January, you may very well find something - it all depends on what area you decide to move to - as the jobs could mean a long commute. This is a very large area.

What area are you thinking about moving to at this point? Maybe we could help you with narrowing down a place to live, so then you can look for jobs that won't require such a long commute.

You do have time to make plans, and hopefully, the economy will be better when you get here in March.

I've been checking the job market frequently and have always found many things that I would do or am qualified for. I understand if a armed security posistion is open now it will be taken by the time I get there. Many people are looking for jobs in specific feilds, people go to school to become graphic designers and other really specific things and they get upset when they cant find a job in that feild. I've done many things over the past few years and have been very carefull with the trades I go to school to become certified in. I really shouldnt ever have trouble finding a job no matter where I go, even though maybe the pay wont be as good as im looking for. Both myself and my fiancee work full time, I work 60hours a week, she works 30 while she finishes school. As long as I can survive comfortably I never complain. All that matters is saving money, steady income and maintaining a good credit rating. For what we make now at bottom of the barrel jobs, i can afford a decent house and a much better life then i have here on long island.

Even though charlotte looks great, i am open to other areas in different states. I look forward to checking out Upstate new york, and every state on the east cost down to florida. I have friends and family all the way down.

I leave tomarrow at 3am so I'll keep everyone updated and hopefully take some pictures.

You are a very realistic young man! I wish I had been so careful about money when I was younger. I'm sure you'll succeed wherever you settle, but I think Charlotte is my fav city on the East Coast.
