Charlotte or Cary
Hi All
I am ready to relocate my family from NY to NC. We have visited the Raleigh/Cary area severaltimes and really like it. My question is are there areas similar to the Cary area in or near Charlotte?
Reason being, it seems my wife would have an easier time finding a job in Charlotte based upon job board searches. I can work from anywhere so its not a concern.
TIA

Cary is kind of unique - it's been one of the top rated small towns in America for at least 15 years. So, no, you won't find anything quite like it in the Charlotte area. However, you could find places in western Union County that you might like just as much. Check out Weddington or Waxhaw - not the rural, bucolic places they used to be with all the growth, but still very pleasant places.

Charlotte or Cary? Pretty much comparing apples to oranges. Charlotte is a big city and Cary is a suburb of Raleigh.

I would try Huntersville, Charlotte is very different from Cary but I love Cary and when I visited Charlotte, Huntersville was my pick.

Huntersville was my first thought although Cary is bigger. Also if you like North Raleigh, a comparable area here is South Charlotte.

Charlotte metro...hands down. Metro Raleigh is quite boring IMO (moved here from Raleigh)...but different people like different things.
Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville...are all very nice and are just North of Charlotte.
Good Luck!
