In the past, hubby and our sons have done that themselves. But sons are not available now . . . so we are wondering if anyone has recommendations for someone who would do this type of landscaping work at a good price.

Contacting a landscaping company is not an option b/c of cost. We know how to do what needs to be done - just need some physical labor help.

Also - has anyone priced out ties lately and can give a rec on where we can get the best price?

Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated! TIA!!!!
This may help for the materials.

Good price Ani but prolly contains the same old cancerous creosote. Don't put too close to your herb plantings if you want to live until 105.

See - that's the thing. Probably do contain creosote. And no, I wouldn't put my herbs near those things, but the effect on the other plants (and run off water) does concern me. Yet, I don't want to place ties that are gonna rot in five years.

I am doing some research to find out what the options are. Southbound is right - the interlocking "stones" are not only good looking, they are environment friendly.

Hubby and I were out early this morning (watching our new resident doe!) and working on a design that will cause the least impact to the topography. It is important to me to get the right "look" but also - to make sure we are handling the design in an environmentally responsible way. I have critters depending on my being a good steward, LOL!!!

BTW - the doe stripped my sassafras that I had been carefully tending. OH WELL! She has to eat, too. I moved some brush yesterday while she was gone . . . created more of a barrier for her. I think she likes it. She was chomping away happily w/ us only 15 feet from her yesterday evening.
