Three minutes ago in Monroe/Mineral Springs it was raining soo hard I was going to ask for plans for an Ark!  We must have gotten an inch of rain in the last 10 minutes! Lots of lightning and thunder too... My male cat is a chicken little and is following me around like I am his magic protector! |

Ohhhh . . . I better go check on my Mr Kitty, too. He hates thunder and it is starting to rumble a bit out there - off in the distance . . . |

It's thundering pretty good here in Weddington and the sky is dark. A few drops here and there. Took labby for a very faced paced walk, came home and we had a power failure. Called a neighbor and apparently had 3! I'm keeping a flashlight close by now.

nn - Further south, we got drowned! We must have gotten 2 inches of rain as well as leaves ripped off the trees and all over my freshly mowed lawn!  You can't win!  |

Very dark here and we have been listening to thunder for maybe 45 minutes. But not a drop coming down.

I was in Gastonia when I saw a tremendous amount of lightening to the northwest (possibly Bessemer City or Cherryville). I stopped in Walgreens & as I got to the checkout line the rain & wind started. The wind was driving the rain almost sideways & it was coming down in sheets.
