Default What's everyone doing this weekend?

Just wondering what everyone is doing. I have a presentation to finish so may get up early tomorrow to work on that, so I can have the rest of the day free.

Hubby said there is gonna be a Civil War Re-enactment at Latta Plantation. We enjoy "living history" but I bet it is gonna be hot so don't know if I really want to be outside that long . . .

Guess I will run to the Farmer's Mkt to get some tomatoes. The deer (or something!) stripped my plants nite b/f last!!!! Not a single tomato left and no blooms. The plants look pretty ruined.

Well, there is garage clean out, yard work, creating a book for myself with new policy changes and other important information in an organized manner..since I will be going back to my primary job on Aug 1 (a full year after I started doing the other job.) Photos to print, getting organized for the start of the school year, meeting DS in Starmount where he will return his borrowed car...church, of course, meeting with my tour group from China...WHEW. somewhere in there will try to take a bit of a rest.

Ani, will you be coming to our C/D reunion on Tues?

I tried to be gentle with the plants Ani, but there was a possum gnawing at my foot.

Leaving at 6am tomorrow and taking a long motorcycle loop with my parents.
Yes, my mother in her 60s rides her own bike.
CLT-Boone-BRP to Mt Mitchell (highest pt on the East coast)-Asheville-Lake Luke and back home.
Should be just in time for a late lunch at Mt. Mitchell.

That is as good as it gets in one day IMHO.

Should be home around 7pm, then take my wife and girls wherever they want to go for dinner.
Probably La Paz on South Blvd.

If there is interest, I'll post some pics.

I just don't know. Hubby has appointments w/ docs Mon and Tues. We dont know what all is involved. He is undergoing some sort of testing and prep for a defib implant. Just not sure what all this will involve and how he will feel - won't want to leave him if the process wears him out.

Thanks for asking, CHI!!

LOL!!! Oh yeah, I guess the critter could have been our resident possum, altho we have not seen him again - and I have scoured the woods trying to find that booger.

Oh, believe me, I know. With so much family in this region, there are reunions year round. Can you put out some fans - use some extension cords? That at least makes it a big more comfortable.

That is really nice of you all to have a party for her!
