Default Suggestions and Options For Rental

It's looking like I will be transferred to the Charlotte area for my job. I have a fair amount of flexibility in the area, but ideally for work South Charlotte would work the best. I looked into the Ayrsley area online and it looks pretty nice, but I am open to Pineville, Gastonia, etc. Could even consider something across the line in Rock Hill. Here are the basics...

Rent: $850-$1000
Utilities: If included great, but not necessary
Minimum: 2BR / 2BA (Would like to see 3 BR and 1200Sq Ft+)

No kids so school system isnt important
Great Credit and Rental History

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Congrats on the move to Charlotte Utilities are not generally included in apartments in Charlotte - just FYI.

For someone in your situation, Ayrsley would be a good fit. I'd pass on Rock Hill - there is no reason to go that far from work and nothing that special about Rock Hill to make it worth it.

A little past Ayrsley you might want to look at the new Courtney Oaks apartments - they are getting good press:

Go with the new community...Gramercy Square at Ayrsley...it is right in the Ayrsley towncenter....cable, internet, washer and dryer and valet trash service are included in the rent. It is really NICE!!! They are doing 2 months free right now since they are a lease up. I dont work for them but I am moving in there and am so excited!

I'd check out Birkdale Village. We just helped one of our employees who relocated to Charlotte get an apartment there and while I don't know the name of the apartment complex off hand, it is across from the golf course and was stunned with what we found for him for the $. Under $800 per month for a two bed/two bath and he is a block from the village! There is a pool with wireless internet and many ammenities for that price. He got a Washer and Dryer for that price and you can opt for a garage space for an additional $75/month. I believe they also have 3 bed/1200 sq/ft+ units for not too much more $. When visiting I was very impressed with the tenants/neighbors. Great place!

Good luck!
