So we have tried out the new ice place on Margaret Wallace and Idlewild.
They are a Mom and Pop shop independently owned and operated. Although they do the shaved ice thing I liked it better then rita's. They have a bigger selection of flavors and they do the mix thingy with soft serve ice cream ( they call it a stuffed snow ball) It's good.
The sangria, candy apple, and the dulce de leche flavors were a big hit in our group.
The people that own it are really sweet and inviting.

Dare I say, if you have not had a chance to try Angela's....they are in the same shopping center.
That's where we were before trying out Aloha Snow last night . FYI they give complimentary garlic knots and focaccia bread before your meal it's delicious.(but you ain't heard it from me) Last week they had samples of zeppoles.Yum.

As a kid growing up one of my friends was from Hawaii. They were actually Japanese and I used to love that you had to take your shoe's off before you entered the house. Anyway, they had a shave ice machine and we would make shave ice after school all the time, it was the best!

I actually bought a shave ice machine from Pampered Chef, I should pull that out of the cupboard now that I think of it.

Went there yesterday. We got a 20% of coupon in the mail box. (we live right behind there) They are actually pretty good. Lots of flavors available.

Some of your kids might have had one of the owners as a school teacher. He got laid off from CMS and the couple were "forced" into their dream job! Neat story! Wish them luck!

Has anyone been there recently? Was there this weekend and a really funny lady, claims she's from snowball land, not sure where that is, made me the best snowball ever with ice cream and weddingcake syrup.....yum even in the winter. Go see them!!!
