Terrorism in North Carolina
Terrorists training in Caswell County, NC. If this has been already posted, sorry didn't see it. It does make you wonder what's happening surrounding Charlotte Metro Area.

The documents make no reference to a direct threat to individuals or property in the United States.

I have no doubt that this particular case needed to be dealt with. I do wonder where the line between civil disobedience and terrorism is drawn however.
I mean George Washington and others were...terrorists? am I doing this right?

Well, it could be the "conspired to travel overseas to kill" part. And I would bet they have more evidence not realeased. It will be interesting to follow to see what more information comes out.

Actually, we have already had a Hezbollah cell broken up here in Charlotte. Don't know why this state seems to attract radicals.

The first one was back in the 90's when a group of radicals were busted, apparently days away from taking out nearly every major bridge and tunnel leading into and out of New York. There may have been other targeted landmarks but those stuck out. The feds called it "the witches brew" with an aftershock that would've devastated miles in every direction from the concussion alone. I believe there was a second group based out of Jersey City taken out sometime after the 9-11 attacks. I can't remember if anyone every reported how far along they were in their plans (I'm guessing not very) but they hauled a bunch of guys off as well.
Maybe this particular group of animals decided to stay away from the better known hot spots and go a little more undercover.

I read that they were being charged with running military style drills. Is this illegal? If so, wouldnt alot of the militias in other states be guilty of this?

Earlier this year we found out our county was a major hub for drug trafficers. The DEA said the drugs came from Mexico and ended up here to be dispersed in Chicago, Ohio and the northeast. They picked here because it was rural and we are close to two interstates. Haven't heard much about it since so I am hoping it is under control. But I would think that any terrorist group would also pick something rural and out of the way, yet close to a hub as stated. Law enforcement is spread out and unless someone spots something and calls it in, they can do a lot and get away with it.
It is good to know though that they got these guys and appear to be on top of the situation as best they can. It is just a terribly scary situation.

You couldn't be more right, Brian.
Don't forget this group of charmers. Fort Dix five guilty of conspiracy to kill soldiers - NJ.com Fort Dix terror plot - New Jersey Local News - NJ.com They did get convicted, fortunately, but really, who would believe that there was a terrorist group in Cherry Hill?

It only appears to be a new phenomenon once it's all exposed. Fact of the matter is they've probably been living among us, in the most inconspicuous places imaginable, for years.
