Phone company/Internet/Cable
Could you please tell me what the local phone company is? And who I should use for Internet and Cable? I found Time Warner, but they were a bit pricey.

University is likly to be Bell South for phone, though if you go near concord you will have CT Communications.
Time warner for cable (thinking off trying dish myself) Cable internet is roadrunner from timewarener (supposed to be really good)
