I think about it quite often and finally did it today. I bought some reusable Teeter grocery bags. Right now through Aug 4 they are buy 3 and get 2 free at $1.19 each or they have a sale price of .99 cents each. Now I just have to remember to take them!

When you use them, how do they know that you brought them in and didn't take them off the rack right there?

Probably because of the tags or price stickers still on the ones in the store?

Also, I'm sure the floor manager, security cameras, and cashiers keep a good eye out for reusable bag theft.

Nascarnancy,

Thanks for letting us know about the sale! I'll pick some up today (and pay for them, lol).

I always thought they should give vic card customers some for free ... you know run a limited promotion...spend $50 get a bag free or something like that. I got mine at New Years, and only remember to bring them about 1/3 of the time.

Used to have the same issue - just store the bags in your car, rather than at home.......

I forget to take the plastic one's back to recycle, now I have a huge bloated bag. The good thing is that everytime I do use the recycler at the store it's almost always full so I'm shoving them in.

One day Charlotte will catch up and we will be able to toss them in our home recycle units, waiting patiently.

Ya, we have that problem also. We try to leave them in the car. At Lowe's Food you get an extra 5 points per re-usable bag when you check out. They put me that much closer to the 2 million points I need for a MacBook Pro.

Just out of curiousity, how many points DO you have? I'm gonna start doing that when they open the Lowes by my house.
