Default Jarred tomatoes

I am making 150 jars + or - on Friday of this week. Do it every year at this time. Thinking of making a You Tube video for all Charlotte Italians. Let you know next week.

Default ...sei ancora a Charlotte?

Ciao!

I'm Italian-Irish (nobody's perfect) and have been in Charlotte since 2006. I'm originally from Pittsburgh and miss the Italian presence that was there. Kinda sucks when no one down here knows how to pronounce your name and you can't find but one or two decent Italian restaurants. I'm glad to learn about the Italian club here and I'm hoping it will be a good way to meet other Italians in the area. Charlotte is a great city but has absolutely no cultural district whatsoever which sucks since there are so many people from the Northeast that have migrated to this area that are used to that sort of their thing in their respective city.

My family is from Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto in Sicily which is near Messina. I have been there to visit and live with my family for a month when I was younger and have also spent time in Florence as well. Can't wait to get back. Hope to get the chance to meet some of you in Charlotte!

No good Italian restaurants, no culture, not able to pronounce an Italian last name? Yet, you were blessed to visit the diversity and culture offered in Sicily as a child. LOL!! Maybe you should give a seminar and teach us peasants a thing or two. LOL! No wonder so many northern newcomers are so endeared. Nothing like assimilating and having an open mind.

There's this place called Uptown...you apparently aren't familiar with it. If you were to go there you would find:

Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
Harvey B. Gantt Center
Mint Museum Uptown
John S. and James L. Knight Theater
Blumenthal Performing Arts Center
The Charlotte Ballet
NC Dance Theater
Charlotte Symphony Orchestra
McColl Center for Art + Innovation
Levine Museum of the New South

Yeah, really sucks that Charlotte doesn't have a cultural district.
