I can't choose a favorite because I watch most of them, depending on my interest and my mood.
I enjoy Channel 3 and Fox Charlotte because they are more reflective of my goofy, light-hearted attitude. They're the most likely ones to turn lemons into lemonade. Not to mention, they are more blooper-prone. I guess Fox Charlotte would have to be my favorite if I had to pick between the two.
I enjoy Channel 9 because they're a little more professional and serious. Not to mention, I find a certain few people to be attractive....but I didn't say that!
I picked WSOC, (ABC). They went HD first, so I started watching it then, I especially like the morning crew. But I have been tuning to WBTV (CBS) lately for both morning and evening news.
I Love FOX and FOX NewsEdge at 10:30, they all just seem more laid back, a comfortable, fun working environment. Yes, I'am one of those that likes M.M. (the old weather guy). He has a weird sense of humor, and it makes me laugh.
WCNC (NBC) would be my last choice, although I like some of the anchors, I just don't like their coverage as well, plus they were the last to go HD (maybe late this spring??).
I only tune to News 14 when there may be bad weather and there is no other local news on. I love the FOX Scan weather station (ch 242), a sweeping up to date radar all day and all night.
BTW: Good Poll Carolina Native
Yeah , Mark Mathis is now famous!! His previous nuttiness is featured on you tube. Do you recall the forecast he did as a drag queen?
Why does the Ch 242 FOXSCAN Doppler always have 'interference' over Spartanburg area??

Just thought I'd pass on this bit of info for the weather enthusiasts
I emailed Fox and they passed it along to their meteorologist, Reg Taylor.
He replied,
"The radar is very sensitive. In the evening when the humidity increases the radar sees that and plots it as a low level return. This is a flaw of all radars in "Clear air mode". There is a mask that can block the return out, but it also blocks radar returns in the masked area. You would think in this day and time, things would be different."
