i'm not going to double the rate or anything. just saying...what may cost $20 to steele creek residents may cost someone in southeast charlotte $25 or so
Thank you, Stephen! That makes total sense. You have to consider travel costs in order to stay in business.

Stephen did my lawn today! Very personable gentleman, reasonable rate for his services and excellent work. Will use him on a regular basis from now on, recommend his services to my neighbors and anybody else interested.

Can I ask how much people pay if paying on a monthly basis throughout the year-just for mowing. We have an acre but I estimate only around half of it is lawn.
Just curious as I thought what we used to pay was quite pricey (may be because Lake Norman area, but not the Point).Last 2 summers our lawn was basically non existant due to the drought as we discovered when we went in September, but they were still coming in and "mowing" it and making a real mess, just creating lots of dust and making a mess of the earth.

We always used a lawn service that would allow us to call them on a "as needed" basis. I pay anywhere from $25-$35 each time they come to mow. Mowing includes cutting the grass, edging and blowing/bagging grass clippings. They know their services would not be needed during the winter months so they don't come.

No ours didn't come during the winter but assume liked to spread the payments over the year so he had reg income.
We paid around $35-$40 per cut working on 1 cut per week from March to October ish but actually there were 2 months over the Summer when we had no lawn to speak of so it was probably more like $45.
No blowing or bagging clippings though.

There are lots and lots of the grass cutters who want to do the work. Before you hire anyone it might be good to see the business licence and also their TAX ID NUMBER just to keep everything out in the open, I would hate to pay some guy and then know he wasnt even using part of my money to pay his taxes like the laws says,,,, I need some ID

We used Naturalawn of America, and they were wonderful. They also use natural/organic treatments.
