Jodi,
New to the area myself. I'm not sure where Indian Trail is, but I've heard of it. Do you live anywhere near 485?

Shopton Rd is in the Steele Creek area, and from the poster's Indian Trail Location to the Shopton Road area is about 35-40 minutes in average traffic. If the trip is made between 7:30 and 9:30am, around lunch time, or after 4:30 and before 6:30pm I would add 10 or 15 minutes to the drive.

You could meet halfway, somewhere outside the I-485 loop off Johnston Road and ride the Marvin area into SC.
